AUSTIN, TEX. — New Confederate lawmakers adjourned for the rest of the month today without a vote on the proposed “Bill of Men’s Rights.”
The legislation would outlaw no-fault divorce, institute higher burdens of proof for prosecuting intimate partner violence, decriminalize online harassment, require that private insurance companies cover testosterone treatment, and clarify the ability of men to sue for sex discrimination.
“We’ve got a lot of people in Congress who want to see this over the finish line, so we’ll regroup after the recess and see how things go,” said Presidential Advisor for Men’s Issues Joe Rogan.
Sources close to the discussions say a small group of female lawmakers continues to strongly object to the legislation. Meanwhile, a group of 16 “manosphere” podcasters sent a bombastic letter to House Speaker Randy Fine, R-Fla., demanding the elimination of hate crime and child pornography laws in those states that still have them.
“We have broad agreement that there needs to be something to dial back the woke, but some of what people are pushing is really toxic s–t,” said one lawmaker, speaking on condition of anonymity.
Sponsors of the bill will continue to push for it to be signed into law on Oct. 15, Tradwife Appreciation Day.
