ATLANTA, GA. — New Confederate President Donald Trump Jr. has signed a law lowering the age of consent across the country to 13 years old.

“It’s no longer illegal for a woman to start a family in her prime child-bearing years,” said New Confederate Secretary of Health and Families Matt Gaetz. “We’re growing our country, growing our families by taking this step, which is supported by science and common sense.”

The bill signing took place at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta. Immediately afterward, museum staff unveiled new signage renaming the entity as the Pre-Adult Museum.

Across the New Confederacy, girls’ attendance in school has been slipping, ranging from 92% of eligible girls in North Carolina to 51% in Mississippi. Familial and religious pressures, including from local chapters of the “Brides of Christ” militia movement, often work to block attendance in smaller communities.

Although the age-of-consent law would broadly allow for sexual relations between adults and children who are at least 13 years old, it remains a felony punishable by 40 years’ imprisonment for a Black man to have sex with a White teenager.

Legislation remains pending in Congress to align the new age of consent with the gun purchasing age and the military enlistment age.
